Retna Kakaiya is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis where she received her B.A. in Educational Philosophy and Psychology.  She then spent two years teaching children with visual impairments in the Peace Corps (Morocco).  Upon her return she obtained lifetime certification in elementary education and special education for children with mild to moderate learning disabilities through the University of Missouri.  After teaching for approximately 10 years she enrolled in The Healing Arts Center in Kirkwood, MO and graduated with her license to perform therapeutic massage.  Retna has also acquired additional certification from Cornell Univeristy in nutrition through the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
